TERRIBLE NEWS: Gabonese Striker Aaron Boupendza Dies at 28
The football world is in mourning following the tragic death of Gabonese striker Aaron Boupendza, who passed away today, April 16, at the age of 28.
According to reports from Türkiye Today, Boupendza is believed to have died after falling from the 11th floor of a building in China. Authorities are currently investigating the incident, considering both the possibility of suicide or a tragic accident.
At the time of his death, Boupendza was playing for Zhejiang FC in the Chinese Super League.
He rose to international prominence during his time at Hatayspor in Turkey, where he netted an incredible 22 goals in 36 matches during the 2020–21 season, earning the Golden Boot in the Turkish Süper Lig.
